Hellenic Canadian Lawyers' Association
2018 20th Anniversary Hellenic Professionals Gala

The 20th Anniversary Hellenic Professionals’ Gala was held on Saturday February 24th at the Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville, Toronto. The evening was organized and hosted by the Hellenic Canadian Lawyers’ Association, the Hippocratis Hellenic Canadian Medical Association, and the Asclepius Dental Society. This annual event brings together Greek professionals across various industries for a night of networking and socializing. Attendees of the sold-out event included Greek lawyers, dentists and doctors, as well as law and medical students.

The black-tie affair featured traditional music, a silent auction, a presentation of scholarships to student members, and a red-carpet photo booth. The five medical students who received the Dr. Oreopoulos Memorial Scholarship were Justine Philetos, Karly Stratos, Erene Stergiopoulos, Maria Lambadaris, and Jorge Georgakopoulos. Law students Zoe Kalakos and Dora Konomi were also named as recipients of the Justice Andromache Karakatsanis Student Scholarship.

Numerous individuals and organizations sponsored the event and contributed to its great success, including generous donations from our two Chairman level sponsors the Polydor Foundation and Greybrook Realty Partners. The Presidents of each association, being Kosta Kalogiros, Dr. Sophia Mobilos, and Dr. Sophia Polymeneas, extend their thanks to all those who attended and encourage Greek community members to join in on other upcoming events.
